• Jealousy & Insecurity

Do you or your partner feel jealous? The Jealousy Coaching Session will help you or an insecure partner overcome jealousy.

How can the Jealousy Coaching Session help?

Specialist Relationship Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Helen Mia Harris often uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and relationship counselling in her Jealousy Coaching Sessions to gain a clear picture of how our thoughts create our behaviour in complex relationship issues. Jealousy can be debilitating for the sufferer and their partner, with powerful consequences for the relationship.

CBT and Emotional Well Being Therapy is a powerful tool when working with jealousy, and using this approach can alleviate some of the very raw emotions experienced when someone is struck by this most overwhelming emotion. CBT focuses on the five very different areas of the body mind experience:

    • Emotions
    • Thoughts
    • Behaviour
    • Physical Symptoms
    • Core Beliefs
  • Some symptoms that accompany jealousy include: fear, emotional pain, hurt, sadness, anxiety, envy, grief, humiliation, loneliness, depression, feeling powerless, feeling betrayed, rejection, insecurity, exclusion or inadequacy, resentment, blame, suspicion, comparison with the rival, worry about self image, needing reassurance, panic, constant questioning, withdrawn and agitated.

Helen Mia believes that what pivotally lies at the bedrock of this unease and emotional pain is fear. Fear of being alone, rejected, abandoned and of unfaithfulness. And the deepest fear is one of not being loved, understood or accepted.

NB. These sessions are not to maintain the relationship nor to separate the couple, but to help each individual move away from, indifference, discord and disappointment towards a sense of emotional balance. Helen Mia works with integrity and respect for all individuals concerned.
